Huge congratulations to Aaron on being named our Client of the Month. Since joining Physique Academy in June 2025, Aaron has shown exactly what’s possible when commitment meets the right structure and support. In this interview, he opens up about taking the leap into coaching, transforming from “tall and skinny” to the strongest and most confident version of himself, and how building muscle has had a knock-on effect far beyond the gym, from improved energy and sleep to stronger relationships and sharper intent in everyday life. From hitting bodyweight lifts for the first time to thriving on routine despite demanding 12-hour shifts, Aaron’s journey is a powerful reminder that when your actions align with your goals, everything changes.

When did you join the Physique Academy?
I joined Physique Academy mid-June 2025
Why did you join Physique Academy?
I had just gotten back on Instagram after being off of most social media for a couple of years and I wanted to curate my content to feed into things I wanted for myself and one of those things was fitness. I came across the Physique Academy page, saw the amazing transformations that other men had and followed the page. They DM’d me within 24 hours asking a series of questions and I thought “why not now?” If this is something you say you want, an opportunity is presented, go for it.
What have you achieved both physically and personally since joining the academy?
Physically I look the best I ever had at any point in my life. I’ve always been tall and skinny but I’ve never had the muscle definition I have now. I also feel the best in regards to energy levels, getting the best sleep, and eating the healthiest. Personally I feel like I can take on the world. I’ve always been a confident guy but this took it to a whole new level. When your body matches who you believe you are in your head, it just takes it to a whole new level.
What is your ultimate fitness goal?
Like I said before I’ve always been a skinny guy so my ultimate fitness goal is to put on as much muscle as possible and put size onto my frame and really see how far this rabbit hole goes.
In what other areas of your life has Physique Academy helped you improve?
I have a lot more intent behind my actions nowadays. I work 12 hour shifts, both day and nights, including some weekends, 5 to 5. Sometimes I’ll work 7+ days in a row. So making sure my meals are prepped, my workouts for the week are planned out, how I’m going to navigate getting my steps in, all came into play. And outside of the fitness realm of things, I have more intent with making time for family and friends. Having the odd work schedule, it’s already difficult to make time to hangout with people that typically only have free time on the weekends. So the time I do get to spend leisurely, I’m more present and appreciative so I have found that my relationships with the people I’m closest to have actually grown. If there’s someone I care about I won’t hesitate to contact them out of the blue and make an effort to connect, whereas before I may pass up on the opportunity or just allow life to get in the way.
Would you recommend Physique Academy?
I would 10/10 recommend Physique Academy.
What gets you motivated to complete the programme to best of your ability?
I feel like I’ve just got a little taste of how much the program has improved my quality of life. I know fitness will be a large part of my life moving forward and I want to see how far the programme can take me.
Is there something fitness related you can do now you couldn’t do before joining Physique Academy?
I’ve never been able to bench press or squat my bodyweight and I achieved that during my phase 1 cutting so the sky’s the limit on my way back up.
How important is a routine for you?
Routine is everything. I don’t do the same thing at the same time everyday; however, over the course of the week that consistency of working out 3-4 times a week, eating pretty much the same meals or arrangement cycle of foods, and sticking to the routine has helped me sleep better and feel better overall. I can feel it in my body and my mind when I do something off routine.
What has been your highlight of working with Physique Academy?
My trainer Luke. He tells me what to do, gives an explanation of why and I just fall in line. Sometimes I’ll have a question just for a little clarity but ultimately I don’t fight it. That’s why he’s the trainer and I’m the client. It takes the thinking out of it for me which makes this process so much easier. Outside of the fitness I think we can relate to each other and joke about the same things which makes the relate.
