I’m a psychology-focused fitness coach who finds deep fulfilment in helping men transform both physically and mentally. My mission is simple: to guide people from where they are to where they want to be using smart, effective strategies, while helping them build the confidence and structure to eventually take control of their own journey.
Fitness has been part of my life from a young age. My dad was a bodybuilder, and his sink-or-swim approach to training threw me in at the deep end when I was just 12 years old. I picked it up quickly, but over the years I’ve developed a much deeper understanding of what it’s like to start from scratch. That’s why I take an adaptable approach with every client I work with. Everyone’s different, and coaching needs to reflect that.
I was always an active kid and competed regularly for Blackburn Harriers in sprint and hurdle events. That performance mindset led me into the gym at 13 to build muscle and improve my power. It also gave me an outlet that supported my mental health and gave me direction during my teenage years.
After leaving school, I became a qualified personal trainer at 17 and started working in a local gym while studying Sports and Exercise Science at Lancaster University. My coaching style is backed by research in physiology, psychology, nutrition, and biomechanics. Over the last 7 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients both in-person and online, using an evidence-based approach tailored to each individual.
I’ve been training consistently for over a decade and follow a structured Push, Pull, Legs routine. In recent years, I’ve added conditioning to my training which has helped me stay lean and energised all year round. The discipline and daily habits I’ve built through fitness are what fuel me in every other area of life.
That said, it hasn’t all been easy. In 2022, I lost a close friend which hit me hard. I struggled with low motivation, poor sleep, and unhealthy coping mechanisms. What got me through was the support of the people around me and a mindset shift towards gratitude and self-care.
That experience shaped the way I coach today. Physique Academy isn’t just about building muscle. It’s about resilience, mindset, and building a strong foundation for life. Every coach here has faced real struggles, and that’s what makes us genuinely care about every person we work with.
